Spring inspirations - Anthropolgie Europe and People Tree

Apologies for the lack of posting, but I have lots of reviews and pictures planned for you!

This is just a quick post to welcome Spring!  It  might still rain and be too cold for sandals in Belfast, but the days are getting brighter and longer.

With that in mind, I am really loving People Tree's new collection for Spring/Summer.  It is so nice to see an 'eco' brand grow the way this one has.  Check out the Umbrella Dress and the Susi Balloon Skirt .  Also, very popular is their recent collaboration with young actress Emma Watson creating eco fashion for a younger market.  Sure, the prices are higher but if you're looking for a slightly different dress perhaps for a summer wedding (?!) I would recommend giving the site a browse.  I was very happy with a black hamelle dress I purchased there last year.

I also recently purchased the Honey Bee necklace as a Mother's Day present (her initial is B!) It's even prettier in real life and they sent it in a cute handmade paper gift box.

Also, Anthropolgie fans... the beautiful lifestyle european online store is finally here!  Sure the prices are ridiculous and we don't have quite as wide a selection as US yet but its oh so pretty...even just to browse!

Retro Photoshoot - vintage hair rolls

On Sunday, I spent a lovely day in the company of some very glamorous vintage ladies.  We were modelling for Kelly McClean, owner of Ashby Gents barbers in Belfast.  Kelly also specialises in creating beautiful retro up-styles for the girls.   With my hair all pretty and my make-up all done (thank you Claire McEvoy!), I decided I would show off my new dress!  Not sure what to call this hairstyle.lots of backcombing gave me the height then it was rolled and pinned undereath itself, I really like it though.

£28 in New Look but a bit Luella inspired I think...

p.s I adored this red lipstick.  It was in a Nars lip palette and called Red Lizard, had a lovely texture

'Yes to Carrots' spotlight (reviews and pictures)

I wanted to do a post on this brand to get your thoughts (if any!)
I picked up three products by them last summer in Boots. I needed different things for going on holiday, didn't want to spend a fortune but liked their natural ingredient list. The packaging wasn't beautiful, the marketing didn't promise holistic wellbeing and beauty and well.. it was being sold in Boots so I let eco-product snobbery get the better for me.
A year on, I've realised I still use the products and have just repurchased.

The Yes to Carrots company is also home to brands called Yes to Tomatoes (oily/combination skin) and Yes to Cucumbers (normal/sensitive skin). They say that:

Yes To Carrots is a complete family of skin and hair care products that combine the anti-oxidant power of Beta Carotene from orange organic fruits and vegetables, with Dead Sea Minerals. Yes to Carrots is the perfect solution for normal to dry skin.

Upon reading that, I probably would have opted for Yes to Cucumber or Tomatoes over the carrots range, but I have had no bad reactions or breakouts with the carrots range. I have used the 'C Today or C U in the Morning' Day cream moisturiser, the Body Mist and the Hair Mask.  Click on for reviews and more...
